SPRING There's nothing like a Spring break to give you a boost!    In Spring our guests love to relax in the garden, perhaps on the swinging bench surrounded by wild garlic flowers, blue bells and primroses and tulips and daffodils. We planted hundreds of new bulbs at the end of 2007 and now the tulips are coming out with beautiful splashes of red and yellow.

There's so much to do for SPRING BANK HOLIDAY WEEK at the end of MAY.  Brixham heritage festival, Power boat races, walking festival.  See www.english-riviera.co.uk
events for full details of what's on.

SUMMER  Numerous beaches and coves to visit, picnics (we can provide them)  water-sports, going out on boat trips or mackerel-fishing in July.  Take the children to explore the rockpools or go crabbing near the beach huts. There is so much to do and watch from sailing competitions to firework displays and festivals. Wander round the Marinas or just sit annd laze on the beach. Mackerel fishing boat trips from Brisham and Paignton July and August.

AUTUMN is lovely! The days are shorter but can get quite hot in mid-day.  Generally the temperatures are of course lower than summer and the humidity is less so ideal weather for getting out and about! Autumn is ideal for walking and exploring, easy to park and not crowded as in  the summer and many attractions are open through to the end of October or all year. In Autum visit places like Bicton Park Botanical Gardens for the beautiful autumnal colours (open all year) and Coleton Fishacre (NT) on the doorstep.

WINTER: have a great Christmas shopping break.  Huge choice of shopping from out of town retail parks with the usual large stores like M&S  and Next to quaint small shops in the old town of Totnes, or art and craft exhibitions and galleries. Several garden centres and craft centres and markets all within easy travelling distance.  OR Visit the new up-market shopping centre of Princess Hayes in Exeter. We also have Christmas Packages ( see seasonal breaks).

Of course there are rainy days throughout the year.  But even then there is plenty to do and see. There are inside activities like the Leisure Pool at the Riviera Centre, Kent's Cavern whatever the weather, Museums and historic houses, plays and cinema and a host of other things. You won't be stuck in watching the rain run down the windows and wondering what on earth you could so on such a day!

So much to do and so little time to do it in!  Many guests who stay for two nights wish they had booked for much longer - in fact they do so on their next visit!
