Directions to Amber House

From North avoiding Torquay
M5 to Exeter
A380 to Newton Abbot/Torquay/Paignton (Don't go into Newton Abbot or Torquay  - keep on the A380 -direction to Paignton)

The A380 is also Hellevoetsius Way - part of the Torbay ring Road - between Shiphay and Marldon. At the Marldon roundabout you need to take a LEFT onto Preston Down Road also signposted Occombe Farm ( Brown Tourist sign).  Follow this road as it weaves its way down towards the sea.  At the traffic lights go straight across ( signposted to sea front). Then follow the directions below from the asterisk.

From Torquay using coast route
Take A3022 to Preston/Paignton

* In Preston/Paignton you will be directed through one- way system so take direction for sea front which will take you along Marine Drive and then Esplanade Road (B3201) along The Green
Having passed the Apollo multiplex cinema on your left, turn left at the roundabout. You will pass the harbour on your left.  Then within a hundred metres a small garage (Roundham  garage on left) .  Now look for the SECOND road on right signposted at the left hand side of the road as the road to Brixham. This is Roundham Road. You should pass The Harbour Rise Rest Home on left.  The road climbs.  Pass Ambassador \House apartments on right.  Pass Woodpecker cottage on left and then Braeside Nursery. From there you should see the blue gable end of Amber House on the left.  Turn  left carefully into the carpark to avoid grounding.

From Plymouth
Take A38/A385 to Totnes then Paignton
In Paignton at traffic lights at A380 junction go straight across

At next  traffic lights at crossroads for Paignton Zoo/Morrisons Supermarket keep straight on
After approx 30 metres at brow of hill turn right into Hayes Road
Carry straight on DO NOT turn left again into another part of Hayes Road but continue straight as road becomes Penwill Way
At T junction turn left into Dartmouth Road (A379)
At roundabout take right (signed sea front) then turn almost immediately right again into Roundham Road
Amber House Hotel (rear car park) is on right-hand side after approx 150metres

From Paignton Town Centre
Follow signs to Dartmouth/Brixham (A379)
At first roundabout on A379 take a left over bridge then turn almost immediately right into Roundham Road
Amber House car park is on the right-hand side after approx 150 metres
