AMBER HOUSE BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 These booking terms apply to AMBER HOUSE (also referred to as We, Us, Our,The Establishment) and the person making the booking (You, Your, The Guest).  If You decide to book by Our third party on-line booking system You will be required to read the terms of booking on the on-line system which differs slightly from bookings made through AMBER HOUSE directly.

 

1        MAKING RESERVATIONS

1.1     Availability

Check availability for your chosen room/s by telephone or e-mail or through online booking accessed on Our website. 

 

1.2            Amount of Deposit and Payment

1.2.1    Booking On-Line

If using the third party  ONLINE BOOKING service accessed through the ONLINE BOOKING button on Our website or through distributor sites with whom Eviivo On-line Reservations have an agreement, eg last minute.com,  a deposit will be taken by Eviivo for this service, equivalent  to approximately 10- 15% of the total cost of the holiday. The actual amount will appear on your confirmation from them.

         

1.2.2   Booking Direct

Bookings of two nights must be paid for in full at the time of booking.

 

If You make a booking within 72 hours of check-in, then the full amount is due at the time of reservation whether You book by telephone or by email.

 

Upon acceptance of a booking of more than two nights and with more than 72 hours notice, Amber House shall require a DEPOSIT as follows:

£25 per adult per week or part of a week.

£25 per child per week or part of a week if a child has own room

£25 per child if holiday is of a week or more duration and child is sharing with 2 adults.

 

For the Christmas, Valentine, Easter or New Year package a 25% deposit is required.

 

If paying by credit or debit card please telephone with details and the cost of the deposit will be charged to your card. The balance is due at the time of the holiday – usually at check out. You will receive an account statement by email or if you do not have email you will receive a letter of confirmation including payment  details and balance.

 

If paying the deposit by cheque please make cheques payable to Amber House Hotel.

 

1.3      Booking by e-mail

Book your room by e-mail and send a cheque by post.  Your booking will be held until the cheque is received by post. Receipt will be notified by email and Your booking details confirmed.

 

1.4      Booking by telephone

Your booking will be taken by phone. If paying by credit or debit card, details will be taken by phone and confirmation acknowledged by email or letter.  Alternatively, You can book by phone and send a cheque. The room will be held provisionally until Your deposit by cheque is received by post. Receipt of cheque will be acknowledged by email or letter.

 

1.5     Acceptance of a booking

Acceptance of a booking, whether in writing, by email or verbally, followed by the payment of a deposit creates a legally binding contract.  In the event of a cancellation or non-arrival by a Guest, the Guest shall pay to Amber House the amount due under Paragraph 9 below.
